Departments
The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration oversees a wide range of departments and units. These include Administrative Information Management Services, Auxiliary Operations Analysis, Business Services, Facilities Planning and Management, Human Resources, the Budget Office, University Housing and the University Police Department.
Administrative Improvement Awards
Administrative Improvement Awards recognize outstanding work at UW-Madison in process redesign/development or customer service/delivery that resulted in improved efficiency, increased revenue channels, cost savings or improved service delivery. The award may go to an individual or team.
Boards and Committees
The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration has a wide range of responsibilities relating to numerous campus boards and committees. These responsibilities include serving as a sponsor, member or liaison for the campus or administration.
Budget Documents
The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration is UW-Madison’s chief financial officer. Working closely with the Madison Budget Office, the Vice Chancellor is responsible for the development and implementation of the University’s operating and capital budgets.
EID Initiative
The Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration Engagement, Inclusion and Diversity (EID) initiative was developed to address campus priorities of recruiting and retaining the best faculty and staff and enhancing diversity to ensure excellence in education and research.
Strategic Plan
This plan outlines our efforts in Administration to align with the campus Strategic Framework and support Chancellor Blank’s commitment to campus-wide strategic priorities. The Strategic Framework sets the tone for a proactive approach that will enable the University of Wisconsin–Madison to strengthen its standing as one of the world’s preeminent higher educational institutions.
