Chief Human Resources Officer Finalists

Four finalists for the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s chief human resources officer position visited campus from November 14 – 17. The candidates met with a variety of campus stakeholders, including other human resources professionals, shared governance representatives, deans, and Finance & Administration leaders. Each finalist presented on the strategies to advance and support student and employee well-being at UW-Madison. All members of the campus community were invited to attend the public presentations.

Position Overview

The chief human resources officer provides leadership, policy direction, and management oversight for all human resources initiatives and functions for UW–Madison. The university has more than 20,000 employees, including about 2,100 faculty and 12,500 staff across multiple shifts, plus 5,000 graduate assistants and 7,000 student employees.

Search Committee

The 10-member search committee was chaired by Dean of the College of Letters & Science Eric Wilcots. National search firm Greenwood Asher also assisted in this search.
