Welcome to APR 

Administrative Process Redesign (APR)  provides our campus with a framework for efficiency, improving how we do business and changing how we interact with one another. It was initiated in response to tighter administrative budgets, pending staff retirements and on-going technological changes.
APR is also playing an integral role in Administrative Excellence (AE), an initiative to identify opportunities for our campus to become more effective and efficient, and find ways to save monies.  Seven AE teams working on large projects received approval from campus leaders to move forward with their recommendations. APR is about teamwork, building a better university and creating a better future. We'll accomplish these goals by inclusively and transparently engaging our campus community. We welcome your comments and questions.

VCFA Strategic Priorities and Operational Goals

In support of the VCFA Strategic Priorities of Engagement, Inclusion and Diversity, Student Engagement and Resource Stewardship, APR assisted the strategic teams in developing the goals and objectives for 2012-13 and 2013-14.  APR is also serving as the strategic lead for Resource Stewardship, providing metrics and a reporting template for use by each VCFA unit.

In addition to the Strategic Priorities, the APR staff is assisting each of the VCFA units in aligning consistent metrics for ongoing measurement of their annual, operational goals. These measures will be reported into a VCFA dashboard, reflecting quarterly updates on process improvements and unit goals.

APR News: Rec Sports Improves Maintenance Process  

Recreational Sports found great success in improving their maintenance work order process via a project with APR, providing a better facility experiences for both customers and staff. See the project details and outcomes here.
A Project Update: In January 2014, University Housing announced they will launch a new alert system using text and email messages to communicate to residents and employees any unexpected or emergency updates. This program is a direct result of the work completed by an APR team on the Urgent Communications project.
