Library Information
From your home or office, you can access resources in one of the 11 largest research library systems in the United States through the UW-Madison Libraries Web site.
You can use the library catalog, MadCat, to find a needed book or journal, learn where the material is, and see if it is checked out - all in a matter of seconds. You can also renew materials and review your library record (check-out, recalls and due dates).
The libraries' site provides a gateway to catalogs and archives worldwide. In addition, you can use their Live Help instant messaging reference service or ask reference questions via e-mail.
To find databases in which to search for journal articles, use the libraries' new EResource Gateway. Through the gateway, users can locate resources of interest and also search several databases simultaneously.
